So, I have a major dilemma on my hands. Don’t sit there and call me dramatic, because when it gets down to it, this is serious. Mark Farina and Classixx are both playing gigs on the SAME NIGHT. I can’t make up my mind.
On one hand you have Classixx, the new dudes from L.A who are blowing everyones minds. Everyone knows ‘I’ll Get You’ and boy have they got meee. They are flawless remixers, dreamy producers and, who knows, they could be wonderful live performers. All in all, Classixx are two dudes who are on everyone’s lips, and no one can wait to see what they’re going to do next.

On the other hand is Mark Fucking Farina! An amazing man, who is undoubtedly one of the legends of HOUSE. ‘Dream Machine’ is one of my all time favourite songs. And have you heard the dude’s 30th birthday set before? Magical! Then there is his set that he performed Live in Tokyo! Not to forget the countless volumes of Mushroom Jazz. I can barely fault this guy, well… he does support Arsenal (bleeerrrrghh) but that can always be forgiven.

think of it this way, mark farina is a staple in the electro discourse; he’s known. classixx on the other hand is known only to a select few and are only getting stronger. ergo, catch classixx before everybody knows who they are so you could say, “pssh, i knew about them before they got big.”

i think i’ll end up choosing classixx, thats what the majority is going with. plus i don’t think i will be at all disappointed.
